This 2 day tour package to Machu Picchu, has great advantages to get to know better the town of Aguas Calientes, visit the hot springs and finally rest in this town before starting the tour to Machu Picchu. For the second day you can appreciate the sunrise in Machu Picchu and walk for 2 hours with a tour guide, you can also take free time in Machu Picchu.
The most important place to visit on your trip to Peru or South America is Machu Picchu which was discovered in 1911 after being abandoned for centuries. We leave early from the city of Cusco to the town of Ollantaytambo where we board the train, bound for the town of Aguas Calientes, on the way we will observe the variety of the Andean landscape and the high jungle. This tour is to enjoy the Inca city and the surroundings of the town of Aguas Calientes, relax in its hot springs and have a good lunch in a local restaurant.

Itinerary
DAY 01. - CUSCO - AGUAS CALIENTES
This tour starts picking you up from your hotel/hostel in the morning and drives to Ollantaytambo train station to take the train to Aguas Calientes, which route is about 2 hours, during the route we will see the fauna and flora of the Machu Picchu National Sanctuary.
At the train station in Aguas Calientes there will be a person waiting for you to take you to the hotel. Here you will have time to walk around the city to explore or optionally you can climb the mountain of Putucusi, which is a mountain near the city, from where you can see the complex of Machu Picchu.(optional),In the afternoon in the town of Aguas Calientes optionally you can go to the hot springs to relax the muscles. Overnight in a hostel.

DAY 02. - MACHU PICCHU - CUSCO
Very early the next day you will board the bus from Aguas Calientes to Machu Picchu Sanctuary.
You will have a guided approximately 2 hours and then you have free time to visit the Waynapicchu mountain and other places inside the Machu Picchu complex and after that you have to return to Aguas Calientes, where we will have lunch and a train back to Ollantaytambo and bus to Cusco.

WHERE IS THE SACRED VALLEY OF THE INCAS LOCATED?
The Sacred Valley is located at the foot of the Andes, the valley that surrounds the city of Cuzco was of great importance for the Incas, who sowed it with palaces, temples and Inca fortresses that today are World Heritage Sites. The name Sacred Valley is applied to the section of the Urubamba River valley that includes the towns of Pisac, Calca, Yucay, Urubamba and Ollantaytambo. Here, the river flows between cultivated canchones and slopes with steep terraces through the valley (the farming terraces of the agricultural zone). The steepest rocky promontories are crowned with imposing ruins of fortified citadels. Towards the top rise the Pitusiray, Sahuasiray, Veronica and Chicon mountains, with their peaks of perpetual snow in the valley.

Excursion to Pisac (Sacred Valley): is one of the eight districts that make up the province of Calca, department of Cusco. }
It is located in the jurisdiction of the regional government of Cusco – Peru. The district of Pisac is located at 2981 meters above sea level, it belongs to the province of Calca, department of Cusco, at the beginning of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Currently Pisac occupies an area of 73 586 m2 with a perimeter of 1107 linear m, located within the geographical coordinates E/ 191305 and N/ 8514524. Its boundaries are:
- To the north : Viacha rural community.
- To the south: Rural community of Huandar.
- On the east: District of Qolqepata.
- On the west: District of Taray.
Excursion to the archaeological complex of Saqsaywaman (Sacred Valley): 2 km northeast of Cusco city (15 min by car or 30 min on foot). Attention: M-F 7:00-17:30 h. Admission with tourist ticket. Saqsaywaman etymologically means «satiated falcon» or «marbled head». In the complex you can see megalithic zigzagging walls, bases of towers, aqueducts, tunnels (chincanas), ceremonial temples, rodaderos (suchunas) and the esplanade where the festival of the sun «Inti Raymi» is currently staged.
Excursion to the archeological park of Ollantaytambo (Sacred Valley): 82.2 km (82.2 km) (via Chinchero) northwest of Cusco city (1 h 45 min by car). Attention: M-F 7:00-17:00 h. Admission with tourist ticket. Inca fortress surrounded by walls and towers. Araqama Ayllu has a temple, so it is presumed that it was the sector dedicated to worship and religion. On the other hand, Qosqo Ayllu was an urban sector with houses and terraces. The town of Ollantaytambo is known because its inhabitants preserve the traditions of their ancestors.
Excursion Urubamba Town (Sacred Valley): 75 km / 43 miles northwest of Cusco, on the road to Pisac (2 hours by car) / 62.3 km / 62.3 miles from Cusco, on the road to Chinchero (1 hour by car). City located in the heart of the Sacred Valley of the Incas and at 2871 meters above sea level that keeps its pre-Hispanic agricultural tradition Inka – Viceroyalty. Its climate and beautiful landscapes make it a refuge for those seeking to relax in the middle of the nature of the Sacred Valley of the Incas.
